I was a born again Fundamentalist Christian for seventeen years...went to church, Bible studies, and Sunday School four times a week during those years. I know where you're coming from, but since I'm a "Free Spirit" now, I disagree with the label "bad book".

Reaching my campus

Dear friends,

Last wednesday, September 21st, as you may have known was See You At The Pole. For those of you who do not know, this is a student-initiated, student-promoted, and student-led event. It is when you go to the flag pole at your school and pray for the nation, pray for friends, family, your school, and anything else you want to pray for! As some of you may know, I organized and promoted the event at my school. 12 people, who went against the flow of the school, came to the flag pole at my school, which i am very proud of. Even two grown-ups who sponcered the event came. One was a teacher, and the other was a parent, i think. We all held hands in a big circle. I started the prayer off, and we went around the circle like 3 times, going in order: Praying for our school, praying for leaders, praying that God would bring revival to America, and even praying for hurricane Katrina victims. We prayed for about 15-20 minutes. The turn out was sooo much better then i thought it would be. I thought it would only be me, or atleast one other person who said they were gonna do this with me. One by one, more and more people joined in praying. After See You At The Pole (SYATP) was done, people were asking me what we were doing outside. So i told them we were praying. Its so nice to see devoted Christians in my school! and people who are interested in what we were doing.

Also, within the next few weeks is a critical time for a friend and I! We are gonna start a bible study. Pray that the school will accept it, and they will favor it, and that there will be no problems getting it started. I have a new website that is associated with the bible study. www.tcbs.bravehost.com, while there is nothing on it right now, i will be sure to put stuff on it later.

I cannot wait for wednesday september, 28th....My youth Pastor, Pastor Joe is gonna let me preach a sermon then. I have been waiting for this for so long, and now i ginally get to preach a sermon. Ya!

In the matchless name of Jesus, Mike!
