Hey, How's everyone doing? Man, last week was the best week. For those of you who do not know, i went on a mission's trip. We went to lynn, ma. "Lynn, lynn, the city of sin. You never come out the way you came in." Yep, you guessed it. That is the motto of Lynn. Lynn was awesome though. Monday, the first day, basicly started with an orientation...More about lynn, what we were doing that week, more about where we were going and stuff like that. After that, we had dinner. After we had dinner, we had more orientation and practiced some stuff for the week. That lasted for hours. For sleeping arrangments, the boys slept in a garage, but it was very nice. The girls slept in the house. There were about 20 to 21 people that came on the missions trip with us, and only one bathroom. So we decided that the boys would shower in the morning, and the girls at night. Anyhow, each night we would be given an hour to calm down and hang out, so that was fun. On tuesday, bright and early, we started the day with devotions. It was fun to have devotions as a group, and it was good to start the day off like that. After we were done with devotions, we got ready for a program called "adopt a block". Adopt a block is when you go door to door, for free, asking people if we could help them in any way (ex: yard work). There would be five people per group. We would remind the people the God loves you. My group did around five houses or so for the whole week. After that, we came back and had lunch. We had sandwhiches all week. I had a ham sandwhich most of the time. After lunch we prepared for another program called "Metro Kids". This was a program for kids. There were games, free give a ways, and bible stories. It was fun, we did this from Tuesday threw Friday. After this program, we went back to the house and had dinner. So, as you can see, each day was jam-packed with fun events. It was the same kind of day on Wednesday. I forgot which day, but one day, during metro kids, some person, who obviously did not like what we were doing, threw an egg at us. It landed on top of a tent, and splattered all over me, and one other person. But anyways, we started a new program at night called servant evangelism. It is where we hand things or do things for free, to remind people that God loves them. On the first night of this program, we handed out candy to people in the park. In some cases, i had to speak, "Hesus Diama" Which is spanish for Jesus loves you. A lot of people spoke spanish in Lynn, Ma. Which made me want to learn more spanish. I knew some spanish, enough to say hi, how are you, nice to meet you, Jesus loves you, thank you, and good bye, but not enough to carry a fluent conversation. Anyways, it was fun. One person, who barely knew english, i gave a peice of candy to him and he said he did not have any money, so i said "Grati" which means free, you should have seen his smile, it was from ear to ear, with a little exageration. On thursday, it was fun because we went to bostone for most of the day, (I was in enemy territory, because i like the yankees). We had a fun time. On friday, it was pretty much the same thing. Saturday, we went to Salem, Ma. You may know it because of the salem witch trials. The moment i got to Salem, I felt a disturbance in my spirit. I felt something was going to go wrong. And it did. There was this guy, not much older than 15, his face was painted in white, and then there was a black streak of paint right in the middle of his face, that is satanic. He was following us around town, riding a scooter. He went behind one of my friends, and started chanting something, i am not quite sure what it was, because i was not there to hear it, i might of been able to discern it if i was there. He bumped into another friend of mine with his scooter. Pastor Kurt, who was our host for the week, and whose house we stayed at, went up to the young boy, and said, "Is there a problem?" he just stared, with a blank face, it looked like he was getting angry. Then Kurt said, "Then go." and off he went riding his scooter. I sensed a lot of anger, and lonliness inside of him. It was really sad. The strange thing, was that while I was in Salem, i believe it was God speaking to me, (can you please pray for me about this?) saying that I have a calling to do some ministry in Salem, I need confirmation, so could you please pray for confirmation for me? Thank you. On Sunday, we went to church and helped set up, because P. Kurt is renting a elementry school. Can you pray, believing in things that be not as though they were, that P. Kurt would be able to get a church of his own? Thank you. In a week, I have learned that perhaps the most thing he wants is a church of his own, and he is such a good man, i want to see him get a church of his own. I helped at children's church. I controlled the sound, and helped with the sound. I also shared my testimony. After church, we packed up, and went home to see our parents. What a fun week it was, i could have gone a whole other week.
